XP deleted data proves easier to recover than on newer operating systems
When attempting to rescue lost information on a computer using Windows XP deleted files are actually easier to find and recover than if you were using for example the latest version of Windows seven on a 64 bit computer. Most data recovery programs are not designed to work with a 64 bit processing system. And while Windows XP may not be as glamorous or attractive an operating system as say Vista or Windows seven, it is functional and requires a very small hard drive footprint. This makes Windows XP perfect for small netbooks or for installation onto computers that are a few years past their prime.
